I love to read. I love to learn. Here are a few of the books God is using to shape me at the moment. I would recommend that you read these for your own growth (click on the book and it will take you to where you can order it):
This isn't about trying to come up with a new idea or new way of believing. This is about humbly submitting myself to historic Christian orthodoxy as taught throughout the existence of the Christian Church, starting with our founder, Jesus Christ. This blog is all about exploring what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ, in a state of constant reformation, trying to become more and more like Him. Thus, "(Re)forming Disciple." I believe that in order to do this in a God honoring way, orthodox theology must be the foundation of the (Re)forming Disciple, but we can't stop there. We need to build a house, and the building comes through applying orthodox theology to everyday life. There will be a collision. And at first, it might feel like theology and life will be at odds. That's a little intimidating to admit, but it's also an important path to follow. I hope that at the end of this journey, I will become more of what Christ wants me to be.
